What is NIST and B-PERP?
NIST stands for National Institute of Standards and Technology. This is the part of the US Department of Commerce that develops standards and testing for technology and other safety requirements. B-PERP is the Basic Proficiency Evaluation for Remote Pilots course. If you are looking at the B-PERP, then you know that the FAA Part 107 is comparable to the written test at the DMV to get your driver's license.
