Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Training and Consulting Services

CISM Instructor
Chris' career has been full of teaching his co-workers variety of topics as well as assisting his co-workers through Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM). Chris and Melanie believed in the concept of CISM because of how it changed their lives that they created a non-profit called Support 1 to raise money and awareness specifically targeting the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA). Chris also volunteers with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Assistance Program (SCLEAP) CISM program and the Georgia Office of Public Safety Support (GAOPPS) CISM Program. Overall, Chris has served in the CISM field since 2009. In 2021, Chris was afforded the opportunity to become an Approved Instructor for the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) in CISM. To date, Chris has taught the ICISF classes (Assisting Individuals in Crisis, Group Crisis Intervention, and Crisis-Informed Peer Para-counseling) all over the states of Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina.
CISM Consultant
Chris was recently approached about expanding the CISM services within the CSRA to other fields beyond the Emergency First Responder community, specifically to the medical field and private industry. Chris' knowledge how CISM services work paired with his leadership in two CISM active programs have prepared him immensely for the opportunity to serve the private sector. This along with his partnerships created over the past two decades in the private sector will ensure that the level of CISM instruction that he brings to the respective environment will be of the highest of caliber.
